While working for various companies, I have been developing a client base over the years and it began to become impossible to manage while being employed full time, therefore, I decided to leave Price and dedicate all my time to my clients. In 2006, TST Tax Service, LLC was formed and the first office outside of the home opened at 1590 Adamson Parkway, Suite 115, Morrow, GA 30260. Timothy S. Taylor graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1991 with
a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. I began my career in 1992 working with Cotton
& Company CPA firm as an auditor. While in college, my interests were directed
toward Income Taxation, so I thought obtaining experience in my field would lead
to my aspirations. A few years later, I landed a position with Lockheed Martin,
Inc in their tax department. Lockheed's tax department was a very sophisticated
environment with about twenty attorneys and thirty tax professionals. At Lockheed,
I was able to enhance my corporate income tax as well as my tax software knowledge.
Meeting deadlines and managing time were an imperative aspect of my day to day
operations. My experience with Lockheed allowed me to obtain a job with Manor
Care, Inc. the parent of Choice Hotels to head the corporate tax software operation.
While at Manor Care, I was responsible for training the staff in operating the
tax software to prepare corporate and partnership tax returns. I continued to
search for a challenge in my career, so I decided to try tax with a Public Accounting
firm. I was contacted by a head hunter for an interview with Grant Thornton CPAs.
With Grant, I enhanced my individual, partnership, Limited Liability Company,
sub chapter S and income tax accrual knowledge. My exposure level included an
array of income tax scenarios and individual income levels up to eight million
dollars. Prior to stepping out on my own full time, I worked for last but not
least Price Waterhouse Coopers CPA as a state tax consultant. At Price, I specialized
in state and local income tax working on research, tax savings strategies, and
consulting projects.  |
